December 7

Teacher's Message - Today we did not write T.W.A.S. You can take the weekend to work on RazKids and Mathletics.

Agenda Message - No school tomorrow. Visit the Blog.

We had a visit from Constable Hartman last week. He talked about how we have tools in our tool belt when we need to deal with challenging situations. Challenging situations can be when we are experiencing frustration, when we are sad or upset and maybe scared or frightened.

Is your Elf On the Shelf lazy? (Youtube video) - https://www.facebook.com/saved/?cref=28
If video doesn't work (from Facebook) you can Google -  Our Elf is Lazy. (You'll see a boy in blue on the right)

Science - Next week there will be a test on what we learned about Magnetism. Here is the information that you can review at home.

Reading and Acting With A Group - This week we are learning to work with a group. Ask your child - WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE YOUR GROUP WORK WELL? HOW WILL YOU MAKE A GREAT PERFORMANCE OF THE POEM - JACK AND JILL?

Practicing! -

Final Performance  (3 more on Monday)-

NEXT WEEK I WILL ASK EACH STUDENT THIS QUESTION ABOUT THEIR PART IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR POEM - HOW DID YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUCCESS OF YOUR PERFORMANCE? Each student should be able to tell how they helped their group, either by reading, acting, compromising, performance skills, flexibility ....

Finding small words in bigger words -

We had Ms. Lynn (Occupational Therapist)  in again today to work on our CORE MUSCLES. See if you remember some the Olympic moves and share with your family.
