TEACHER'S MESSAGE:
If your child has a talent to share (at the end of June) - FORMS MUST BE IN BY MONDAY. - See pic below for info.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - ask your child if they have enough snacks/lunch for their day in school. I have been suppling several students with my own personal veggie snacks! I don't mind but then I also don't get my own veggies I need for the day. PLEASE take the time to pack your child's snacks with them and work together to pack a healthy lunch/snack and enough for the day.

Awesome job this week to our latest Reader's Theatre Group - Oliver (narrator), Victoria, Kaden, Isabella and Evera!

LANGUAGE ARTS:
We have been working on answering questions with a proper answer. Please see a sample in your child's agenda. Ask your child what constitutes a proper answer.

MATH:
Grade 1 & 2 have been working on weight/length/height and volume. Ask your child about it.

SCIENCE:
We had a Science test on Thursday (a few didn't finish). Ask your child how it went and what parts were easy/challenging.

GYM: We had fun playing Drip, Drip, Drop. Ask your child how to play.

TEACHER'S MESSAGE:
Please read important message in Language Arts.
As well, please ensure to submit your 'Holy Grill' lunch form by June 12.

LANGUAGE ARTS:
We wrote about our favorite Math Fair games.
As well, we have been reviewing what those Report Card numbers mean when it comes to writing. We've looked at our own T.W.A.S. writing and thought about what student writing looks like at a Level 1, 2, 3 or 4. Ask your child about their T.W.A.S. work. What did they think of their own writing? Can your child aim for a 4 in writing? I think all the students can strive for their best writing. Best writing would include - telling more (clear) information, using capitals and periods, using a dictionary, making sure your work makes sense and is legible.
I encourage students to write in their T.W.A.S. over the weekend. Can you strive for your best writing?

MATH:
Math Fair was a great success. I saw partners work really well together and created interesting math fair games. Great job everyone!

SCIENCE:
We are learning about what makes an insect an insect.

GYM: We've played Capture The Chicken with our buddies again - what a fun time!! We hope to start our Food Chain game soon!
