Homework: All About Me bag due on Monday
What a week! We've worked on routines, good habits, and great listening skills. I would also like to welcome Jaiden to our class (not listed in our first list). We now have 24 students our class.
We took the time to get to know each other and learn more about the teachers (Mrs. Maze, Mrs. Cook and Miss. Goodine) that work with our Grade 1/2 class. We used the 'I See, I Think, I Wonder' 'formula' to encourage the students to make careful observations and thoughtful interpretations. It helps stimulate curiosity and sets the stage for inquiry. Next week we will use I See I Think I Wonder when each student brings in their All About Me brown bag.
Art: We're working on completing our drawn work by making sure we fully color in our work. We've worked on following steps to draw Pete The Cat, and then fully color in our work.

Math: We've worked this week on discovering numbers and patterns on number charts. Ask your child about what they discovered on their number chart.
Literacy: We've also reviewed Fiction and Non-Fiction. Have a chat.
