Agenda Message: Read the Blog.

Teacher's Message: Read the Blog please. Two notebooks were sent home this week. Please have your child read their T.W.A.S to you. As well, please see their Spelling Book and review their test. If there is any printing practice, please have your child practice. RETURN BOTH BOOKS ON MONDAY.  On Tuesday, girls who are going on the Girl's Choir Field Trip need to wear white tops and black bottoms.

Remembrance Day : This week is our Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday at 10:30. All parents are welcome to join us in the Gym for this solemn assembly.  Here is video that we will watch next week and discuss what we see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7ESRBMk36E

Math: We will be moving into learning about more strategies that help us to add facts together. The strategy we will focus on is the 'making ten' strategy. This strategy is a major focus of the Grade 2 students but many Grade 1 students will understand it as well.

Procedural Writing: We have been working on the steps of how to share our expertise on how we build an animal out of food. Here is a video you can share (and read) with your child on what is involved with Procedural Writing. We did not review it in class but covered all the areas. See some of our completed work below.
